Check the airport code on your ticket. Tianfu (TFU) has handled nearly all international flights since 26 March 2023; Shuangliu (CTU) now serves mostly domestic routes. One exception: from 31 July 2026, Sichuan Airlines moves its Hong Kong and Taiwan routes back to CTU Terminal 1. Macau isn't part of this particular change (it's flown by Air Macau). Confirm your terminal with the airline; do not assume other carriers have followed.
Board Metro Line 10 at 双流机场1/2航站楼站, ride to 太平园, then change onto Line 3 for 春熙路 (Chunxi Road) — fares run about ¥2–8. An official taxi to 春熙路 (19.5 km) runs roughly ¥50–90 on the meter. Didi and an airport bus (¥15 day / ¥25 night, to 春熙路 or 天府机场) are also available.
Board Metro Line 18 (express) at 天府机场1号2号航站楼站 to 成都南站 (¥10, about 33–35 minutes), then change onto Line 1 for 天府广场 (¥11 total, roughly 60–90 minutes door-to-door). An official taxi to 天府广场 (67 km) runs about ¥150–200 plus tolls. Didi and an airport bus (¥15 day / ¥25 night) are also available.
Shuangliu (CTU) is closer — about 19.5 km to 春熙路 by taxi. Tianfu (TFU) is roughly 51 km southeast of downtown (about 67 km to 天府广场 by road), so budget more travel time and a higher taxi fare from TFU.
A single source reports about ¥50–90 from CTU to 春熙路 (19.5 km), and about ¥150–200 plus expressway tolls paid by the passenger from TFU to 天府广场 (67 km). Both are metered — watch the meter rather than expecting a fixed price.
Tianfu (TFU) — it has handled nearly all international traffic since 26 March 2023. The one exception is Sichuan Airlines' Hong Kong and Taiwan routes, which move back to Shuangliu (CTU) Terminal 1 from 31 July 2026. Macau isn't part of this particular change (it's flown by Air Macau). Confirm the terminal on your ticket.
