Since 23 December 2025 every CKG flight uses Terminal 3. You land at T3A, where the metro, taxi rank, ride-hailing pickup and airport bus all are; T3B gates connect to it by a free automated people mover. Ignore any older guide that still says T2.
Metro Line 10 reaches T3 directly at 江北机场T3航站楼站 — Line 3 only serves T2. To 解放碑, ride Line 10 eleven stops to 曾家岩站, then transfer to Line 2 (较场口 direction) three stops to 临江门站 — about ¥6; first train ~06:35, last toward downtown ~23:23.

Metro — Line 10 direct from T3

- First train

- Last train

Where & how to board
- Board Metro Line 10 right inside the terminal at 江北机场T3航站楼站 — this is the line that reaches T3 directly. Line 3 only serves T2, so it is not an option from T3. Line 15 is still under construction and is not a passenger option yet.
- Ride Line 10 toward downtown eleven stops to 曾家岩站, then transfer to Line 2 (较场口 direction) for three stops to 临江门站 (解放碑).
- If you're coming from T2 on Line 3 instead, a separately reported route changes at 牛角沱站 onto Line 2 toward 临江门站 — about 80 minutes and ¥6 door-to-door (travelchinaguide, Jan 2026).
Fare & cautions
- Line 10 fares run about ¥2–5 depending on distance; Line 3 fares run about ¥2–9. The reported all-in fare to 解放碑 via the Line 10 → Line 2 transfer is around ¥6 (a single dated source; the transfer route itself is corroborated across multiple local sources).
- Line 10's first train departs 江北机场T3航站楼站 at about 06:35; the last train toward downtown (鲤鱼池 direction) runs at about 23:23 (toward 王家庄 at about 23:32) — confirm the exact minute on the platform display before planning a tight connection.
- Pay with an Alipay/WeChat transit QR code, a mainland transit card, or cash at the ticket machine.

Official taxi
- To city center
- ¥60–70
- Distance
- 24.5 km
Where & how to board
- Follow 出租车 / Taxi signs from T3A arrivals up to the rank on Level 1 of the car park building — the queue is not right outside the terminal doors, it is one floor up in the car park.
- Use only the staffed metered rank — decline anyone offering a ride inside the hall or at the curb.
- Show your hotel address in Chinese and confirm the meter is running before you move.
Fare & cautions
- Metered: by day, reported at about ¥10 for the first 3 km plus ¥2/km; at night the flagfall reportedly rises to about ¥11 plus ¥2.3/km — treat these as a reported range on a newer fare schedule, not a guaranteed number.
- To 解放碑 (24.5 km), reported fares vary widely across sources — from about ¥45 up to ¥80. This page uses ¥60–70 as a working estimate (travelchinaguide, Jan 2026), but the meter is the real number.
- Chongqing's stacked flyovers and looping ramps mean the metered fare can run higher than the straight-line distance suggests — an indirect-looking route on the map is normal here, not a sign you're being overcharged.
- Beyond 25 km the metered per-km rate rises to about ¥3, and expect a small airport pickup surcharge (about ¥3) plus an expressway toll that the passenger pays — together with the meter, this is why the total to 解放碑 lands around ¥60–70 rather than the bare in-town rate.

Ride-hailing (DiDi / Amap)
Where & how to board
- Set your destination in DiDi before you walk out — DiDi has an English app that works with a foreign card, so it is the ride-hailing option most usable for visitors. Locals use 高德地图 / Amap instead, but the domestic listing is Chinese-first; install the separate AMap Global edition for English.
- Follow 网约车 signs to the pickup point on the car park basement level (负一楼 / B1) — one floor below the taxi rank on Level 1, not the same spot.
- Match the car plate to the app before you get in.
Fare & cautions
- No fixed airport fare — the app quotes before you confirm.
- In-app payment; the quote, driver and plate appear after you land.

How we verify airport routes
- We prefer airport, metro, rail, and government operator pages for route, ticketing, terminal, and schedule claims.
- If an exact fare, pickup bay, or last-train time is not confirmed on an operator page, we tell travelers to check it instead of publishing a number.
- Last-updated dates mark when source links and page claims were reviewed.
