Is Alipay Tour Pass discontinued — what replaced it?

Tour Pass was a prepaid-wallet mini-program inside Alipay, built specifically for short-term foreign visitors who didn't have a way to link a regular bank card. It had its own balance cap and expiration window.

Multiple travel guides and user reports describe Tour Pass as wound down or no longer the recommended path for new visitors, in favor of direct card binding. We could not independently confirm an exact discontinuation date from Alipay's own materials, so treat 'discontinued' as widely reported rather than a fact we've verified first-hand.
